I love my Swift Pack Boat!

Did a bunch of research before landing on the pack boat. Initially, I was interested in a Kayak because of my past experiences. My main criteria was a solo, light weight option to take on canoe trips into the backcountry. The pack-ability was what eventually made the decision for me when compared to a Kayak. It is an absolute pleasure to get my gear in and out of the boat. I also considered a prospector. The weight savings and hybrid capabilities of the pack boat ultimately swayed me to the pack boat.

When I finally placed the order the person I worked with over the phone was highly knowledgeable and provided great insight into some of the options I was considering – namely the Two Tone Colour (champagne bottom) and Colour Match Skid Plates.

I’m thrilled with this purchase. It’s enhanced my outdoor experiences and allowed for travel to areas I never thought possible.

I’ve owned the Pack 13.6 for a couple of years now and every paddle is such pure joy. I have the carbon fusion laminate and it so lightweight I can easily transport the boat solo. The design is sleek and the seat is extremely comfortable. On the water, it’s a dream: stable, responsive and fast. I haven’t been on any multi day trips yet, but it will be the perfect platform when I do. Thank you Swift for all the smiles!

Had a chance to paddle a 13.6 pack while visiting Keewaydin Camp the summer before COVID. As a lifelong kayak and canoe paddler, I was instantly sold. Picked up my boat that fall. Lightweight, great craftsmanship and even better fishing platform. Even purchased a dry suit so I can paddle it year round!!

Best of both worlds

I have had this boat for about 5 years now. I was looking at a kayak when I watched a Utube video where the camper used this boat. I was instantly sold. I love being able to have the speed of a kayak with the ease of loading and unloading of a canoe and with the entire boat being lighter than most canoes. It does feel pretty tippy initially but once you play with it a bit you will quickly realize it is very stable. The seat is very comfortable I can paddle for hours with no issues at all. Portaging this boat is a dream it’s so light you will be able to reach lakes with ease that some might have thought twice about with a heavier canoe. Wind can be an issue with this boat but if you trim out the boat you should not have a problem compensating for the wind. I can not express how happy I am with this boat. Thank you, Swift.

Great solo boat

I’ve had it for a season. 5 trips, multi day trips in Algonquin. Mine is kevlar fusion with carbon everything, its 27lbs, great for single carry as its my preferred way to go on a portage. I’ve been it a storm with it, around 1.5ft more or less waves and it was very stable, it was a head wind which helped but at no point I felt it was tippy or struggling to make headway since I was sitting so low in the hull. I’ve been in strong crosswinds as well with no concern. Depending on your gear, but for me it sits so high in the water I was able to skip a few portages and a couple I just got out and towed it through the stream to the next lake. After some down time at a beach I’m now able to stand up in the boat to get a better vantage point which I would say is a great example of the stability of this hull. And It saved a ton of time on pathfinder lake. If you’ve been there you might get what I’m saying. It’s light, its stable, I have no regrets spending my money on this pack boat and I’m looking forward to many many more trips with it.
