Kiwassa 13.2
Many kayakers looking for lightweight kayaks prefer shorter boats, but the available options lack the desired performance offered by a longer hull. The Kiwassa 13.2 is the ultimate compromise. Combining the agility of a short playboat with the glide of a sport touring boat, the Kiwassa 13.2 is limber and lively like a shorter boat, and smooth and strong like a larger boat.

Beautiful Kayak!
I purchased the Kiwassa 13.2 after paddling the Adirondack 10LT for several years. I was extremely happy with my Adirondack 10LT for traveling but also wanted something a little bit bigger with a skeg for larger waters. I have been super happy with the Kiwassa 13.2 for the past 3 years. The design is really attractive and handles beautifully. The skeg is nice to have when there is wind & waves. It helps keeps me on a straight line. The seat is very comfortable for longer paddles. I have to say that I am a bit of a kayak snob. I can tell a Swift when I see it on the water or on top of cars because it just looks nicer than other kayaks! The lines & colors are very cool. This kayak is great!
My Blue Belle!
I purchased a Swift Kiwassa 13.2 from the South River location in 2020. It was a used boat at the time of purchase. It is absolutely a dream to paddle and travel with. We have a trailer that we have outfitted with J brackets, so it would be easier for us to load the boats. We are seniors (61 & 70) who want to continue with this sport, so we got this light boat that works like a charm. I enjoy the easy (and reliable) skeg that works when we are in any type of windy condition. The boat is responsive, and the back lumbar support helps with the lower back pain I’ve wrestled with for years. We have taken it on the choppy waters of Lake Erie to the calm waters of inland rivers and lakes. I really like the higher back support on the seat, and that sets it apart from the other models that I have used. The cockpit design (while I truly would love a cup holder for my bottle of water) is sleek, and I can get in and out of the boat with relative ease, both from beach launches and from docks. It does take some practice to perfect that skill, though! My husband has a longer, heavier kayak from another supplier, and I see these gaps in the model he chose – (it is heavier, back support is lower and awkward, and he has great difficulty getting in and out of the boat!). Finally, it comes in blue! A really lovely gradient blue rather than a flat colour. A closer view on how it glides and how it looks with my daughter paddling – https://uwindsor.yuja.com/V/Video?v=707490&node=3400557&a=1319661754&autoplay=1
