EXPEDITION KEVLAR LITE Expedition Strength
Takes the Kevlar Fusion foundation and replaces the inner layer with Basalt-Innegra co-mingle cloth, a volcanic rock and high-modulus polypropylene blend with remarkable elongation and elasticity. The result is a hull that can absorb harder impacts and recover without damage. It’s the lightest laminate in our expedition lineup. Can be upgraded with a fourth Carbon-Innegra layer for a full Expedition Kevlar layup.
Ideal for: Wilderness tripping, expedition paddling, rocky rivers, remote routes, paddlers who want expedition-grade durability without expedition weight.
KEVLAR FUSION Most Popular
Swift’s most popular laminate and the sweet spot of light weight, durability, and value. A three-cloth layup combining a tough polyester outer layer with Kevlar and Aramid structural cloth and a dense non-expanded core. It delivers our highest strength-to-weight ratio and suits the broadest range of paddlers.
Ideal for: Day paddling, multi-day tripping, cottage country, paddlers who want the best all-around performance at the lightest weight.
CARBON FUSION Lightest Available
Our lightest laminate. Carbon-Innegra cross weave on the outer and inner layers provides extraordinary stiffness with Innegra fibers preventing the brittle fracture that pure carbon can exhibit. Kevlar and Aramid structural cloth in the middle adds impact strength. These boats feel alive on the water, responsive and quick in a way that’s immediately noticeable.
Ideal for: Day paddling, light touring, performance-focused paddlers, easy portaging, paddlers who prioritize the lightest possible carry weight.
EXPEDITION CARBON Strongest Carbon
Our strongest carbon laminate. A four-cloth layup with an all-carbon outer layer for maximum stiffness, Kevlar and Aramid structural cloth in the middle, and a Basalt-Innegra inner layer for the elongation and impact recovery needed in serious expedition use. It’s the carbon boat you take into the backcountry with confidence.
Ideal for: Expedition tripping, backcountry routes, rocky rivers, paddlers who want carbon performance with serious toughness.
