Without a doubt this is the finest canoe I have ever had and in my view, the best on the market! We have enjoyed taking it on portaging trips as well as day tripping. It’s such a smooth paddle, handles incredibly on rough water and looks amazing to boot! Wish I’d had this canoe 40 years ago!

Prospector 15 - Beautiful boat for beautiful places...

I have never been happier with a canoe. I am mostly a solo paddler… I’m happy to be on the water with it; I’m happy to be cleaning it when it’s in my shed. It’s easy to maneuver and moves quietly through the water…I’m as happy to let the wind push me down a lake as I am to paddle back across the wind…every minute in this boat is a pleasure. Well done Swift…

It’s been a joy to work with Swift Canoe from Bill’s early advisement on which boat to choose, through the build, to at-home delivery. We look forward to years of family adventures and excursions on the beautiful 15′ Prospector.
Thank you Swift Canoe & Kyak!

I did a lot of research on pretty much all canoe brands before choosing Swift canoe due to its premium build kit material and its lightweight. I went with Prospector 15 tandem, as I’ll use it as solo as well as paddling with the family. Took a while until the boat was delivered, but it’s well worth the wait. Highly recommended.

Perfect "Do-it-all" boat for solo and tandem

After several years of renting and trying to decide which boat to get, I finally landed on the prospector 15. Most of my travels were solo, and I prefered this boat to any solo boat for the stability, tracking, and ease of portaging for single carrying. The added bonus of being able to bring someone along was also a huge plus, and there’s enough room in the boat to go on week long trips with 2 people no problem. I got the boat in expedition kevlar, and it’s the perfect all around boat in my opinion. To trim the boat I sit in the bow seat facing backwards, and then put my pack in the front of the boat. This helps from getting blown around from the wind. If you’re just out for a paddle without a pack, you can fill a dry bag with water to put in the front of the canoe to trim it as well.
